Bodhisattva Vow Bestowed by H.E. Garchen Rinpoche, Tuesday, April 6, 2021, early morning, on his 85th birthday
9 am – 12 pm (PDT)
12 – 3 pm (Pittsburgh time)
His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche is offering the Bodhisattva Vow on his 85th birthday early tomorrow morning. Rinpoche is a very high master in the Drikung Kagyu lineage and among the last generation of masters trained in Tibet. This is a very precious opportunity to receive this vow from one of our greatest living masters.
The Garchen Institute website explains the vow this way:
“The Bodhisattva Vow can only be taken after you have taken the Refuge Vow. This vow represents our commitment to the altruistic intent; to the courageous heart which places others before self and seeks enlightenment to benefit all sentient beings. In taking this vow, we commit to love and compassion as our path.”
