Dear Dharma Friends,
There are two schedule changes to announce. A class on Basic Buddhism will start this week on Tuesday Evenings. A description of the class is in the schedule below. Also, beginning next week, Thursday Evening Tea Break is going to become a book club for awhile, reading together and discussing the book, “Training in Tenderness”, by Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche, whose principal teachers were Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche.
Our other practices remain on their regular schedule. May the illumination of wisdom teachings shine through all obscurations of our mind, and may our practices be beneficial to all beings!

Tuesday, Feburary 11, 7pm, Basic Buddhism. Online only. This class for newcomers is about some of the foundational tenets and practices of Tibetan Buddhism. Basic meditation instruction will also be offered at the end of each session. This short Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism has been helpful to newcomers and would be good to read before class. Join us on Zoom.

Thursday, February 13, 7pm, Evening Tea Break. Online only. A time just to talk about dharma with dharma friends. Beginners are very welcome. Join us on Zoom.

Saturday, February 15, 9am. Vajrasattva Practice. Online and in person. This is a foundational and ongoing training to purify our negative actions, mental disturbances, harmful tendencies and mistaken views by invoking the yidam Vajrasattva in a meditative visualization practice. Join us on Zoom.

Sunday, February 16, 10 am. Online and in person. Practice will include recitation of the 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva, King of Aspiration Prayers, and Achi Chokyi Drolma practice led by Ven. Lama Kalsang. Achi, which means “Grandmother” in Tibetan, is revered as the great female dharma protector of the Drikung Kagyu lineage and its practitioners. Join us on Zoom.
