Sunday, 5/24/2020, Green Tara Online Practice with Ven. Lama Kalsang

Before the center was closed, TRTCC had a renovation plan in place to open up the two rooms on the first floor so that we can have a larger sitting area for our sangha members to practice together, but because of the current epidemic situation the plan was put on hold. Just this past week, Lama Kalsang has been busy working all by himself knocking down the two walls dividing the shrine room and the sitting room. As shown in these photos that he took, the progress of his work is impressive, as he was just doing it bit by bit by himself. He also packed up all the shattered wood pieces and vacuumed up all dust and debris on the floor. He devoted his time and energy not only to lead our Sunday online practices but also to start the first phase of the demolition work while no one else can do it at this time. We are just so fortunate to have him here. He is truly a treasure to us.
H.E. Garchen Rinpoche will give teachings in between prayer sessions.
TRTCC will send you an email with the Zoom meeting ID and password, and the download link for the practice materials.
ALL ARE WELCOME
From the website of His Holiness the Dalai Lama:
At the request of individuals and groups from around the world, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has graciously consented to give a two-day teaching on Chapters 1 and 4 of Master Nagarjuna’s “Precious Garland (rinchen trengwa)” from 8 am to 9.30 am (Indian Standard Time) on May 16 (Saturday) & May 17 (Sunday), 2020. His Holiness has also been requested to provide general advice appropriate to these challenging times. Those interested may watch the live webcast of the teachings and listen to them in Tibetan, English, Chinese and other languages on the official websites and Facebook pages of the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Best wishes to all!
Three Rivers Tibetan Cultural Center has been considering ways to keep our sangha safely connected to spiritual practices despite the social distancing restrictions. This coming Sunday, May 3rd, at 10am, we would begin to offer practice online, with our resident teacher Ven. Lama Kalsang leading the Medicine Buddha practice. The scheduled online meeting information has been sent to our sangha through a sangha email.
Please join us this Sunday at 10am.
May the kindness of our teachers bring blessings to all.

Please continue to support our teachers by making a donation to their centers. It will benefit everyone who are seeking online teachings.
TRTCC resident teacher Ven. Lama Kalsang shares this image of instruction from the Heart Advice of Lord Jigten Sumgon on the practice of Tara mantra. He said reciting this as much as we can is good practice.
Lama Kalsang has also shared with us a newly translated practice text for the Parnashavari sadhana and a letter from H.H. Chetsang Rinpoche (Konchog Tenzin Kunsang Thrinle Lhundrup) about the importance of this practice. The text is taken from Kyobpa Jigten Sumgon’s collections. Rinpoche said that this sadhana requires everyone to practice it with love and compassion.
A sangha member has found a link to a short oral transmission of Chetsang Rinpoche about this practice in Tibetan, so here we have the link included. Please always remember the meaning of Bodhicitta when you take on this practice.
Here is also a link to download the World Peace Prayer.
May our efforts benefit all.
May our center and all spiritual refuge places near or far be open for practitioners soon.
MAY ALL BE WELL AND HEALTHY
